[Pro] Google Calendar Issue

I am trying to find a way to place calendars in my websites. I found a possible solution on softpress

http://www.softpress.com/kb/questions/38/Adding+a+Calendar+to+your+Site

The page said to use google calendars because they give you code that you can embed in a freeway markup item. So I did this but when I tested it I found that the iframe takes you to a google login page this is not a solution because no one else will be able to see the calendar I embedded unless they have the exact login info. Is this really how this works or did I mess something up. I want the calendar to just be embedded in the page so that anyone can see it without having to login to google

Thanks,

TeamSDA

Hi

Have you looked at ‘Calenders Net’ - http://www.calendars.net/ - it’s FREE, no adverts and works with FW.

Also take a look at http://brutontown.co.uk/community/diary.html

I know it doesn’t answer your question but it may help.

Sorry but they seem to have gone off the web:

You don’t have permission to access / on this server.

Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) Server at www.calendars.net Port 80

In your google calendar settings you have to make the calendar public. Look for the Sharing Settings and then make sure the “Make this Calendar Public” check box is selected. You then might have to go back and get the fresh code.

Rich,

Have you realized / have you tested / if the Google Calendar is
writable, too?

They say:
“Unfortunately Embeddable Calendar can only support readonly
operation. To
perform write operations you must do that through the GData API.”

Well I now implemented the Google calender on our FRW-site.

It’s looks good although it took a while to find the HTML-code on the
google-site.

I just inserted a Google calendar into a FW Pro site I’m building and not enough info was given on the Softpress page so I Googled the process and found this:

Now I know where to find ‘Embed’!
