The ordinary font-weight controls of FWP don’t give you the necessary
ability to specify the lighter 300 font weight. You must use the Extended
Style controls to set the font-weight to 300.
Open the Style Editor, select your style for the font, then open the
Extended editor, create a new attribute name “font-weight” with a value of
“300”. This will over-ride the normal FWP default for that style.

In using the font, the output to the browser is always LATO 400 Regular
instead of the light version I want.
