It’s been some time since I dealt with Google Maps. The SoftPress KB instructions for Goggle Maps Action requires a Google API Key.
As I’m helping a friend with a small business, would it be best to get him his own Google User ID / API Key?
As a non-programmer, I’ve always found Google’s instructions a bit confusing. Any suggestions on where to head for an easy walk-through of “how to?”

That’s a pretty good idea - and my daily practice. There are “more” things a client needs (Analytics e.g. as you already wrote) so I make mine create her own (google account) to collect the required tools there.

Maps and Analytics are actionized. For all the rest, I use another google service which is called “search”. I recognized that others struggled with it as well - and mostly I follow them. No warranty of JustWork - but mostly.

I went through their instructions and although a bit tough to get through, if you follow step by step you will get there. I have the code embedded in my pages and can see how many page hits, among other bits of information… Pretty cool!
