[Pro] graphic images out of focus-again

I’ve been using Freeway for several years with very few problems. I am having a major problem since I updated to FW5.6Pro. I open the same subject before see this: http://www.freewaytalk.net/thread/view/95452#m_95452

When I try to import images in my graphic boxes by import command, or by “Drag and drop” the images get fuzzy.
I tried .tiff, .jpg, psd, pdf graphics, giff, svg, Illustrator all with the same results. it happens especially when I try to resize and all the time when I update and resample. I even tried with some success to size each image to the size of the box. It kind of works but not 100%.

On the site that I built for a advertising company, all small logos of diverse companies on the “Experience” page and also the big images on the “Abruption” pages, look slightly out of focus. The originals are not. You can see the same images being used in a Slide Show, and they are perfectly sharp even when going Full Screen. Check this out here ( Same images being used):
http://www.linkedin.com/osview/canvas?_ch_page_id=2&_ch_panel_id=3&_ch_app_id=57948670&_applicationId=1200&appParams={“from”%3A"profile_view"%2C"view"%3A"canvas"%2C"page"%3A"slideview"%2C"slideshow_id"%3A"8705834"}&_ownerId=1539355&completeUrlHash=ShSO

Regardless of how I place the images in the respective graphic boxes, they look relatively sharp until I update or resample the site. Than they all go out of focus and I have to place load them again, and again and they are still fuzzy and I go crazy… I run out of excuses and now my client is asking me to rebuilt the whole site in Dreamweaver. I don’t know what to do anymore.
You can see the site here:

http://www.usandpartners.com

or a working version on my server:
http://is.gd/MLE0eS
or:
http://www.testingmysiteonline.com/USsite/

Is there any reason for that??? I could not find the cause of it and it did not happened with any other site that I built.

Thanks for your help

Why not do all your image sizing etc. in Photoshop and import as pass-through - at least until you pacify your client.

Also what have you set your default jpeg image quality to in File>Document Setup>Graphics and is that what you are using on the page?

Thanks David.
It is Adaptive for GIF,PNG.
For JPG I had 75% quality… Kind of Low…
I will move it to 100% and try it again

Any other ideas??

They are probably being converted to JPEG, and that’s notoriously very
hard on sharp-edged graphics like logos. GIF or PNG is a much better
choice for anything with type or other straight and curved lines.
Anything with pictures of curly hair and trees is a good candidate for
JPEG – it’s specifically optimized for fractal details. Click once on
each image, and look in the third tab from the left (Output). Change
the format to GIF or PNG and upload again. Crispy!

Resize in PS and import as pass-through.

If you are starting with large Mb/hi res images then I would either do the major resizing in PS first and then import or do it all in PS and import as pass-through.

I’ve been using for some other projects an application called “EasyBatchPhoto” - EasyBatchPhoto - batch processing made easy

I will try it for this occasion as it is easier and faster to use, and do batch runs. It has all kind of options for the final output.

Yes we had that discussion the last time that Dan posted about this - and naturally I assumed that he had done that - bit it appears now that I re-examine not all were changed to the appropriate format.

To be honest Dan I am surprised that your client has not commented on the amount of unsearchable (graphic) text.

You are not doing their site many SEO favours in that regard.
