[Pro] grouping items in responsive site pro7

I’m trying to make my selling pages responsive. I did fine with the images. Now I need to add the descriptions and paypal buttons and the text doesn’t stay with the image. When I preview and narrow the screen it goes all wrong. In fact the descriptions actually appear above the wrong item. I tried simple grouping, but that made it do even stranger things in preview.

I don’t suppose you’re using inline construction?

I tried simple grouping,

Grouping is really just for the FW layout view and doesn’t translate into the actual web page. It is really there so that you can keep stuff together while working in FW.

To keeps things together on the web page then they have to either be in the same container or part of a table construction.

As usual if we can see an online example of your workings then we can offer more targeted advice.

Dave, when you group two layered elements, they do get nested inside a third DIV, as positioned children of that DIV. I think you may be thinking of locking, which is absolutely only important in the Freeway interface, and does not translate into any change at all in the exported HTML.

Haven’t been near the Mac today to look at this closer but I am sure you are right. And yes I am probably describing ‘locking’ rather than ‘grouping’.

But the part of my answer that is relevant is the need to see Fay’s page online so that we can see the underlying code.
