[Pro] help with a slideshow-esque concept

Hi everyone… I am in the midst of evaluating Freeway Pro 6.0 for my small business, and I would love to be able to do something like what the Bi-Rite market does on their site: a series of images that change, in a smart-looking box with a slogan at the bottom, a version of which would be visible on all pages.

I realize how to do the slogan part, but I am at a loss as to what I need to search for to figure out the changing images.

I’ve tried a slideshow, and it works fairly well, but I can’t manipulate the size of the images so that they fill the box I want on the page. And I’d love to be able to round the edges as that’s more in keeping with the look of what we have so far.

Any suggestions welcomed!! Thanks.

Check out adding an action to Freeway called scripty fader…
http://www.actionsforge.com/actions/view/218-scriptyfader

If you are new to this list, you can find add ons to freeway called actions. There is a repository of them on another site called Actions Forge, (see link)

Do a quick search of this list for “adding actions” if you need help on how to install the action. But usually just as simple as downloading, opening it and then dragging the new action icon and dropping it on top of the Freeway program icon.

As far as rounding corners…Freeway could do that. Draw a graphic box on your page. Import your graphic…Then in the graphic inspector click the paint brush icon, click the botton option “shape”…you should see a option there for rounding corners.

There are actually a few ways of doing this.

Another alternative is to use some more actions Sequence Timer and Target Show/Hide layer - but no sense in complicating things.

FW gives you many ways to skin the proverbial.

Thanks for the responses!

I actually had found both of those (Carousel and Scripty Fader) but for some reason didn’t realize they could be used that way. I’ll try them both and then holler if I have questions.
