I would question why waste your important home page with a lone animation. The day’s of using doorway home pages are long gone and only serves to push your more important home page back a click. Web users generally have come to visit your site for information not to be entertained. This also makes google think your website URL as being www.tonyainley.com/tonyainl.htm rather than www.tonyainley.com.
Just out of interest how does anyone contact you without any contact details on your website?

I have a Flash animation for the introduction in my website. at www.tonyainley.com
It’s years old and still works well, but is falling by the wayside due to the abandoning of Flash by various devices.
I have been advised to remake the animation in Hype (Tumult Hype) which, I am told; ‘outputs as HTML5 with Flash fallback’
Is there anyone out there who could do this for me (at an agreed fee of course). If so please e-mail me at

I don’t want to use my website in the normal way, trying to attract business from the world at large - Most times I luckily have all the work I can handle. Occasionally, I receive an enquiry from friends who are curious or interest passed on from clients who know me. If these are worth pursuing, I reference my website, whereas, in the past, I would have trudged round with a portfolio. This site works fine for me and most people seem to like the splash page and comment favourably on it. This is not a ‘hard sell’ site, it is just a gallery of my work.
Maybe the wheel has gone full circle and with, as you say, the demise of the splash intro page mine is an interesting novelty
Thanks for your well intended criticism - now can you re-do the animation in Hype?
