[Pro] High resolution (300 dpi) maps?

I need to create a high-resolution map for a printed brochure I’m working on for a client. I know websites like Google Maps and Mapquest generate 72 DPI screen resolution maps, which are great for websites, but are there any sites or services that offer the same features but with the option to output press quality (300 dpi) maps?

I don’t know how you would access them, but Apple Maps’ new tile images are PDF, without pixels, so they can be scaled to any size at all. You might want to look for vector art.

There was also a font I mentioned on the list last week that had each state of the US as a separate letter, set up so that if you typed one letter after another, the characters would tile together to make the entire map. Not what you need per se, but amusing and somewhat related.

Yes, I read that too but they’re only available through IOS devices. I was only able to find one vector map source online, but the map cost was $199, which is too steep for my client. I suppose I could draw it by hand, but the cost would likely be the same or more.
