How you can make the social media links toolbar, or that and the kitchen
sink?

Be reasonable.

If I can’t do it, then I will find another place to put them. But, I did a mockup of a site and I really liked them on the top right in the corner.

Just asked if it was possible.

There’s really nothing to this. Draw an HTML box in that corner of the page. Double-click inside it, and insert an image for each icon, and link that icon to each of the services. Done and done.

Is it possible to get within the navigation bar, like the page has it?

You can’t if you want it to be inside the menu bar generated by the CSS Menus Action. But if you have created a separate HTML element and inserted that menu bar into it, then you can add any other elements into that HTML element you like.

It’s all down to you to design how you want it to appear. The Actions are generally one-trick ponies, and you want to use them along with your own design to make a site.

So If i created an html box, put that social media toolbar into it and then navigation bar under it, it should work?

It would definitely keep the two associated within your layout. Whether it would look the way you expect it to (as if the two were one) would be up to how you style the menu and the box that holds it. My suggestion would be to create a mostly transparent menu, and then put a background image (set to tile horizontally) on the box you have inserted them into. That way the social bar and the menu would look as if they were connected, because they would have a single background element in common.

I just tried it and it does not work

The menu bar, from backdraft, “modern header” just automatically goes to the top of the page…

Could you show me an example and maybe I could figure out where I am going wrong?

I don’t use backdraft here, so probably not anything relevant. It’s really simple if you use nested layout construction (which Backdraft does encourage) but I don’t know if that would break the way that the framework elements work. This is probably a question for Caleb.

Hand-coded, it looks like this: untitled
