Hi All
How do a I create a background colour in Freeway 5.5 Pro?
I’ve tried deselecting the page then from the
Inspector Pallet: Background - Colour.
This results in the background within the site changing its colour along with the rest of the background on the page.
Note: This occurs even though the background on the html page is deselected.
Any help would be appreciated.

So you want a background-color specifically for the page (in stead of the browser-window)?
In Freeway Pro 5 you could consider a empty div at the very background, with a certain width and a 100% height.
In Freeway Pro 6 you can easily select a background color browser-window background AND a page-background in the inspector palette.

Cant do that I’m using Freeway Pro 5.5.
I’m trying to create a white page with a colour background.
Also after creating the white page other elements on the same page remain in the background even after moving them to the front.

Are you sure you work in CSS Layout in stead of table based layout?

I just switched that on and that has changed things. Thanks for that.
However some page items still remain in the background.

Switching it on only changes things you will make after you switch it on, it doesn’t change anything already on the page. Click on each element, look in the Inspector for the “Layer” checkbox, and enable it there. The border color will change from blue to green to indicate the change of state.

Tony, there is a work around of sorts in 5.5 to avoid the BG div that keeps getting in the way.
Set up you page with say white central area and the coloured BG with nothing else on the page. Then Preview it in a browser.
Make the browser as wide as possible and take a wide screen-capture of the page (using Shift-Cmd-4) and use the captured image as a background image. Ot capture just a strip of it, say 1’ inch high, and tile it vertically.

Thanks for all your help I solved the problem by turning on CSS in Freeway Pro and pulling of the items forward.
Nice one
