[Pro] how to insure site rebuilt in Freeway 7 retains external links

My site was created in a previous version of Freeway and is getting a bit clunky and I will recreate it with FreewayPro7.
What do I need to do to make sure all the pages retain the same names and any other factors to insure that external links and existing search engines stay active?

Thanks,

David Phelps

Opening a previous site in any version of FW will NOT change the file names of individual pages - unless you change the Page Titles yourself.

Similarly all the external links will remain unchanged.

It would certainly be worth your while to make a note of all your page file names so that if you do inadvertently change one you can change it back.

David,

Thanks for the reply, I am considering starting fresh in Version 7 rather than updating the existing file. I tried that but got some odd bugs. I’m hoping the responsive features will work better if I start fresh.

If I make sure the page names are the same, the existing search results will still be good?

Thanks for the help,

David

If the Titles and file names match the original then you should be fine but if you change the content then on the Googlebots next pass you may get totally different results.
