[Pro] htaccess log-OUT

Hi all,

I’ve made a website with Freeway Pro 5.5.2 and the Webyep action. In this site there is a map, protected with htaccess and htpassword. My client wants to have access to several documents, who are on the different pages in this protected map, when he is with his client and is working on the computer of his client. Now he wants to have a button on every page of the secured map, that makes the computer, when he leaves those secure pages, ‘forgets’ the login username and password.

Have anyone has an idea if this is possible and who that can be done?

Many thanks for your suggestions.

Best regards,
Bart

Instruct your client to not check the “remember me on this computer”
feature when he logs in. Quitting the browser after the session will
forget the credentials and will make a return to the protected area
impossible without the credentials. On a Mac, you have to quit the
entire browser application (except for Chrome) and on a PC, all you
have to do is close the window you were using. There’s no way I know
of to remove the security session without quitting the browser.

Walter,

Thank you for your help, that will solve my problem.
I’m not used to work on a PC, so I thought the login would be still in the cache-memory after closing the browser window. I’m glad a PC is not as smart as a Mac : )
… and that you are smarter than I am.
