All of a sudden, HTML boxes (with CSS blue button on) are acting up a lot if I do anything more than add a simple border.
Any of the graphic effects, such as a drop shadow – any of them, really – seem to “triple” the effect in preview mode or if I launch a browser for a view. I wasn’t getting this odd behavior before and I haven’t done anything new with my computer or software. (Running Leopard Snow 10.6.3)
looking at the pallet on your pdf set the top ‘background’ to none and down by your red arrow is another ‘background’ fill that with colour and bobs your uncle…
Thanks, but no joy. However, I’m in touch with Softpress support and they’ve suggested I trash a couple of specific preference files. I’ll be doing that shortly, and then we’ll see what happens.
Just in case anyone is interested in the follow-up to my issue, here’s what support wrote back, and it was dead-on:
“It appears to be a problem with the Page Output setting. If you change the HTML setting for the page to HTML 4.01 Transitional, the shadow on the box will work as expected. You can change it in the Page Output Settings tab of the Inspector.”
My original output setting for the page was XHTML Transitional 1.0. Making the change worked instantly. Never had any idea that could make a difference.
