Hello, I am writing a html text where there is an email announced, to which a visitor could write. It is that I would like to hide this email info. Therefore I change the text part info@… into a GIF image, which is easy. But when I preview it in a browser, then right klick on the image to see the image info I still can see the text info which was the origin. I guess, that spam bots also recognize this. Is there a possibility in freeway to eliminate that info?
Hi David, thank you for your response. Sorry for my bad expression, lack of english, yes, that´s what I mean.
My aim is to write down an email address, which is visually there, but not as a text or hidden text, so that it can´t be found by spam bots.
Ok, it´s like this: I have a table with columns and lines (I don´t know if the terms are right, I have a german version and it is not possible to switch into english). So what I opened is html. And in just one cell (frame? element?) I would like to change text into a gif, which is possible.
Now what you suggest is only possible, if I open a frame as a grafic element, in which it is possible to write, and where you also have the chance to change the alt text. But in the html table it seems not to be possible.
FW can automatically obfuscate email addresses using the setting in File>Document setup and look under the Output Tab for the Email Hiding option - Encode With Entities
