Does anybody have any experience in successfully embedding HTML5 animations into Freeway 6 pages? Suggestions… SIMPLE tutorials, would be much appreciated. The program I’ve been working with is HYPE. Easy to create the animations, seemingly impossible to get them to work in Freeway. Help!

Hi Matthew, I’m not much good a tutorials, but here’s what I did for a site I’ve just finished.
1 - Make movie and export along with your “Movie.html” (or whatever name you’ve called your movie) web page
2 - Open up the Movie.html page in a browser and view the source code. Within the code (and there’s only about 30 lines of it) there is a part that says “copy these lines to your document” followed by 4 lines then ‘end copy’.
3 - In Freeway, draw an HTML box (or insert inline, however your constructing your page) making sure it’s big enough to hold the physical pixel dimensions of your movie.
4 - Click inside this box, and with the cursor flashing, go to Insert > Markup item and in the resulting window paste in the snippet of code and okay back out of the box.
5 - Publish the site and make sure the “Movie.html” and “Movie.hyperesources” are living on the same level as the appropriate page of the published Freeway document (ie: not in a subfolder separating it by a level from the page).
I think you’ll now need to upload with an ftp client rather than Freeway as it may miss these extra bits out, not sure as I don’t use FW’s upload very often.
Then there’s the fun of trying to get them to work on early IE versions!
