Can anyone shed any light on why this movie will play in IE 8 & 9 here:
http://www.sly-design.co.uk/video.html
But not in IE9 here:

Thanks,
Simon.

It looks like the video file is damaged. If I download it and try to play it all I get is a techno beat of clicks and a partial screen;

After reading the comments on this page it would seem that IE9 has issues with some HTML5 tags;

I’ve added the IE HTML enabling script to a sample page but can’t locate a machine here with IE9 to test it on at the moment;

If this doesn’t work consider another JS solution such as http://mediaelementjs.com/

Tim.

Hi Tim,
I can see in Adobe Browser Lab that the page does not work in IE.
What a headache. I didn’t expect to be fighting with IE9 because it won’t play html5 OR the Flowplayer fallback.

More digging…
This thread suggests that adding a type to the source tag should tell the browser what file type is being served;
Try adding this into your code and see if it helps. I suspect FlowPlayer, unlike IE 9, is getting the file type from the file extension.

Tim.
