[Pro] Hyperlink action that Populates Email Form Field

Is there a way to Create a Text Hyperlink that will:

  1. link to a Contact page containing my Email Form

and

  1. also populate the Subject Line of the Email Form with specific text

Why not just link to a specific form page that has the desired subject set already?

What method are you using for your form handler? If an Action, which one? You’re going to need to do a little hand-coding here to get this to work. But if you make a dummy of what you want, one of us could probably help you get there.

Thanks for the input. i didn’t want to create a new form page for each subject as there may be more than just a few, but that really seems like the easiest way for me to do it since i really don’t want to do any hand coding, that being the whole reason for me to use Freeway in the first place, no coding. i was hoping there might be a simple action that might do the work for me. thanks again!

That is how actions come about, some one wants to do something new so they do the hand coding and make an action for others to use, that is how freeway eliminates coding, or at least that is how I see it is done.

But all you need to do is duplicate, change the name of the page and change the subject line - job done!

I have a tool to construct these sorts of links available here: http://scripty.walterdavisstudio.com/mailto

From there, you just apply the link that it gives you to whatever interface element you wish to use – a text link or a graphic link.
