I generated a banner here at this web site: HTML Marquee Generator
I want the image to fade in at the beginning and fade out at the end. I tried creating a transparent photoshop image with a gradation from white to transparent and saved as a png. I layered this image on top of the ends of the banner but it wasn’t transparent. as soon as the image hit the png, it went under it with no transparency. ( i removed them on this example above) Any ideas how to achieve this? Also, this banner is jerky, I tried different speeds but they’re all jerky. Is there a better way to do this? Thanks, David

Did you save it/them as a PNG millions of colours? And made sure that FW used the same settings. (Preserves transparency)
Also make sure that all items you are using are layers.

Thanks Dave, I’ll give that a shot.

While this doesn’t use PNGs (too lazy to make them) - the principle is the same.

Thanks for the assistance Dave. Your suggestion to make sure FP was saving
them as PNGs was the answer. FP was changing them to jpgs. I’ll still want
to tweek the gradations a bit, but it’s getting closer to what I want.
Thanks again,
David
