[Pro] Image sizes

There is going to be a slideshow on the homepage. What is a good size that the pictures should be. Any suggestions? Also, on the other pages, are going to have thumbnails that are going to magnify into bigger pictures. What is a good size for thumbnails? is 90px by 90px a good size?

Yes - 100% width, height auto - cause the challenge today is to create websites that play (the best we can) on every device (and there are tons of).

This is a difficult question cause I could even think of 78px by 85px or 105/98px.

The point here is:

It should match your design, big enough to show something and less than regular images (perhaps).

Those answers sound a bit strange - right?

Well - all the world talks about “responsive”, but this doesn’t really work without the deeper understanding of a “media web” that doesn’t have constraints such as a canvas or a piece of paper.

So if a width starts by 100%, it’s a question of design, if the best thumbnails size is 12.7% or even less.

Cheers
