[Pro] Importing Graphics

I’m new to Freeway Pro and so far I really like the program but I have to say I’m extremely frustrated with the way my site behaves in Internet Explorer. I have a background (png) and I have it set to layer and not combined with children. I draw a graphics box on top of my background png and import an image- looks great in safari, firefox, chrome but when I look at the site in IE everything is pushed around and there are white boxes next to the image??? The image is not touching another box HTML or Graphic, I have it set to layer. I just don’t understand! I’m forced to then build all of my graphic items in photoshop and import a flattened png and then drop in the HTML on top of the background.

Any advice or suggestions? I’ve talked with tech support and have followed the steps given but it still seems to be a mess.

Are you using the Relative Page Layout Action by any chance? What you describe reminds me of what can happen with a table layout, but since you’re sure you’re not using that, maybe there’s another reason why font sizes are pulling your layers around.

No, I’m not familiar with the Relative Page Layout Action. I’m just working on a master page in CSS. Am I supposed to create an HTML box first and then a graphic box and then import my background?

A background image, strictly speaking, is not an image that you place in your layout, but rather an attribute that you apply through the Style tab of the Inspector (second from the left). You may apply an image to the page itself, and additional images to HTML boxes elsewhere in your layout. But an image that you place should still not show this sort of color break unless there is something else going on. Can you post a link to the troubled page so I can look at it in the Safari Web Inspector?

Sure, I appreciate your help. Thank you! I’m currently working on it as you’ll see. I fixed the welcome page master- if you click on services you’ll see what I mean or on the specials page, if you are using a PC. On Safari it’s fine. Here’s the link.

Hey Theo, you’ve missed a typo in your payment options (accept).

Best,
