Wow! I spent months fretting over how disastrously an upgrade this ambitious would go, and yet – not! I fooled around with a few minor alterations after the upgrade, but overall it was quite smooth and my first impressions include:
Love, love, LOVE the smooth text on page view. What a marvelous (and for me, unexpected) boon to productivity. I think it slows page loads a little, but for my aging eyes, that’s hardly a serious trade-off.
One-click view to preview without a major mouse movement is fabulous. Boom, boom: I make a change, I take a look. Sometimes, it’s the little stuff that makes a big difference. This is one of them.
More contextual menu choices! I love bringing up context menus with a right click of my mouse, and now I have more than before. Love it!
I can’t believe how worried I was about making the move from Pro 4 to Pro 5. I suppose that related to the fact that I’m no pro in any fashion. But Softpress made it relatively seamless and I look forward to exploring some of the new actions and newer features of a program that allows me to masquerade as a pro. Nice. Sweet. Very, very sweet.
Thank you, Softpress. And thank you to those who so quickly accommodate questions from people with far less understanding of the occasional coding required to get the most out of the program.
I am one pleased customer.
P.S. I also got lucky by upgrading when I did. The upgrade price was on a holiday special and instead of $99, it was $59. I felt like I’d won the lottery.
