Apologise to the forum for bringing this subject up again…But i have heard so much about inline layout and the benefits i have decided to “bite the bullett” and have a go.
I am trying to develop a site that based on 100% inline layout, It will not be that complicated and i believe i have the Body sorted out along with a three column Footer element. However the header is proving to be somewhat different…
I have provided a link to a file that has two screen shots of the issue, I am trying to create a Header with three Elements across the top, the left hand element contains both a graphic and Text, the middle is Text as is the right hand element, then directly underneath those three boxes i have created a small rectangle box the width of the screen that filled with a colour to produce a think line.
The first problem is that on the master page the line looks OK, but on the real page the line has now flipped to the top of the screen, more interestingly when you preview the page the line is were it should be, why is this?
The second issue is that i am trying to create a HTML element directly under the line to hold a CSS Menu, but whatever i try to do i cannot get this new element to locate directly under the line there is always a significant space between the line and the new element, what am i doing wrong please ? sorry for the length of this item.
Thanks
John
