I have a project where I need to add a lot of markers on a Google map to show info upon click.
Having looked at what would be involved with doing this through the Google code I believe I would have more control and could make better use of a standard Google Static Map (I mean their proper URL method -placed in an iFrame) on my Freeway page and add my own markers and on clicking on a marker use something like “link to new window” or similar:
BUT is this legal to do - I can’t see anything in the Google documentation - and there’s a lot of it!
It would be great if the Google map action could be expanded to allow insertion of multi markers and the ability to add text/images to the bubble etc. easily - if only!
Yes, I did know about that site and using it I have been able to add markers, text and images to bubbles.
If I could add these two extra features, it would do my job very well.
Add a website text link for the current bubble’s company AND
Add a text line (preferably smaller text and colour) to zoom in on the current marker position and perhaps a means to get back to the ‘show all markers’ state, something like on this site:
Add a website text link for the current bubble’s company
You can add any HTML you like into the bubble. So a link is doable. Not sure what code is required for the Zoom part but I will have a look when I get back to my desktop.
