[Pro] Is the user interface retina?

Hi,

I have upgraded to a Retina laptop and was excited to develop some high-resolution websites.

I am running the newest version of Freeway Pro, but the interface and website itself when in the program is low resolution. Is this to be expected? Or have I somehow made the program think it is running on a non-retina machine?

For what it is worth, the first time I used the program it was with the laptop docked, so it wasn’t on a retina screen.

Thanks for your help.

There are numerous changes in Freeway to support high-dpi screens on the sites you build, but as far as I know the application itself does not have “retina” UI resources yet. I am not sure what the preview system does to support this or not, I don’t have such a machine at hand to test with. It’s important to note that Freeway uses the WebKit rendering engine for its internal preview mode, but WebKit is not the same thing as Safari. Even though Safari on your Mac is fully retina-aware, that’s most likely done in the Safari layer, not the WebKit layer. WebKit just renders HTML.

Thanks for your response. It is kind of confusing to design a site when it looks so pixelated on the retina screen, so I guess I will wait to design when I have my computer docked to the monitor.
