[Pro] Issue with Slideshow..

Hi there

Having an issue with Exhibeo with getting the slideshow to view properly on the page linked. I uploaded to my host the two files that were created with the exhibeo imports into freeway, they were both .css files. The thumbnail gallery at the bottom of the page worked fine, but the slideshow did not. Any advice? Am I missing a file to upload?

Thanks for any help
-Mike

I have never used Exhibeo but if my understanding is correct you use the Exhibeo action on your FW page and FW does the rest.

Or are you not using FW?

I’m using Freeway Pro

So - are you using the Action?

No uploading required.

This is what it should look like - http://www.deltadesign.co/Yusko/yusko-photography.html

How are you uploading your FW site?

If you are not using FW’s built in upload facility then the chances are that you are not uploading all the correct css and js files to the correct places.

I’m using the action… I downloaded it and installed it to the program… Then I insert action item, exhibeo import.

Unfortunately FTP doesn’t work for me with iPage… I don’t know how to get it to work so I manually upload files one by one, it’s terrible. I uploaded the .css for it, and the .css for the thumb gallery. The thumb works fine, so I guess I’m just missing one file. The way I typically upload to know I get everything is sort the folder by recently modified and upload those. I know that’s not the best but I don’t know how else to get the files there.

Looks great once it’s working!

Holy crap. The FTP finally worked the way it’s supposed to. That will make my life so much easier… Updating my site used to be a bit of a headache!

And the action works now!

Question - I just started working on changing over my old slideshows from Showcase to be Exhibeo. Do you know if I go and delete in FW and then save publish and upload, does it remove the unwanted old files from my host or do I have to manually do that?

If you have been manually FTP ing then no.

You should delete all old stuff and upload fresh from FW to ensure that old files are deleted.

Cool, thanks Dave. I deleted the entire folder once the new one uploaded successfully, and then re-pointed my domain to that root directory. Man… What a difference. Now I can actually move forward with my site. It was really a PITA to do it one at a time even though I had it down to a somewhat science :).
