Hello all. I used this action to make a website (Joomla Actions Suite by Paul Dunning in Joomla 1.5xx). Perfectly integrated with Freeway Pro. However, there one thing that I have not been able to do. I create a research field in joomla (it is integrated in Joomla). I never managed to put the results text in the same font as the rest of the site. Why do the texts of the search results do not keep the same typography? But it works very well for titles, menu, article text, when it is not a result of the search ?! I specify that this is search for the contents of that website (search fonction integrated in Joomla 1.5xx by default). Instead of Arial font it show Times font…I do not have Times font in my website…
I would also like a feature that allows easier integration of “CSS Form Element” by Paul Dunning with “Joomla Actions Suite” an easy way
Last point. When this action (Joomla Actions Suite )will be officially supported with Joomla 2.5?
HI,
Firstly, the Actions work fine with Joomla 2.5. Moving from Joomla 1.5 to 2.5 is more than a simple upgrade - you will likely need to spend time in the Joomla Administrator section rearranging modules and content. You also have to be sure that any third party modules and plugins have Joomla 2.5 ready versions. This is not something I or the Actions can help you with. I’ve moved a few sites from 1.5 to 1.7 & 2.5, and it’s not been an easy job. Joomla 1.7 and 2.5 are pretty much the same. Because of the massive differences between 1.5 and 1.6, I feel that 1.6 should have been 2.0 - it’s more than a cosmetic update. It was a major rewrite of pretty much everything.
How are you assigning styles? I recommend defining the styles in Freeway and using the Joomla Main Content Action to take styles from the Freeway document and assign them that way rather than using the Action Palette to do this. I uploaded some instructions here: http://www.actionsworld.com/Actions/joomla/joomla-main-content.php
Other than that, I am not sure why your search results are not using the fonts you defined? Is something else overriding the CSS? Without seeing the site online it’s hard to tell what could be the cause.
concerning the compatibility of the actions and Joomla 2.5, I have a problem: the templates I create does’nt appear in the choice of templates in the administrator part of my Joomla! site.
My version of the Actions propose me 1.5, or 1.6 - 1.7 versions and I choose 1.6 - 1.7 witch, it seems to me, should be compatible with de 2.5 version.
Should I have a choice for 2.5 in the action for a good compatibility, witch would say that my Actions are to old, or badly updated?

Which version of Joomla Template do you use (the 1.1 or 1.0).
I Use the 1.0 version… This is perhaps the reason of my problem… I’ll look if the last update pack I have is not 1.1. Perhaps the older version hasn’t been replaced by the newer one during the last update.
Thanks.
I solved the problem by uploading the template’s folder with Captain FTP like I did with Joomla! 1.5 , but, after that, using the function “discover” in the extension manager, and installing the template in this panel too.
And it works fine! Even with my old template, after re-publishing it with the Joomla! version set to 1.6 , 1.7 in the page action
My problem was initially that I didn’t know that the simple upload in the “templates” folder was no more sufficient to install the template.
And the following problem went with the Joomla’s extensions installer witch say that the file already existe while it doesn’t…
I didn’t understand how the other guys solved this problem, but this helped me to find “my” solution (Honnestly I found it there: http://forum.joomla.fr/showthread.php?166942-installation-template-sous-joomla-2-5-sur-un-CS407-synology works, and I can work again with Paul’s Actions .
Oups! I see that the version (if the number at the bottom of the window is the version of the action) seems to be the 2.0…
In the information pop up window of the installer in MacOS X’s Finder, the version indicated was 1.0.
N.B. The version in the field version is customizable and I changed 1.0 to 1.7 manually.
Are The images in the same related folder on the server than on the Mac? (a folder that is in the template’s folder)?
I don’t think it’s important, but did you change the filename via the page’s inspector in Freeway or in the finder (or via an FTP software on the server)?
I had this message in Apache “[error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist”
In fact it is resolved. I authorized the write on the folder (permissions writings on the server). it works!
