[Pro] Keeping Projeject current

Hi!

Around 6 months ago I made a site in Freeway Pro and since then have “tweeked” various text errors and corrected a few dead URL links etc. using BBEdit and other text editors while on the road. I now want to make some graphical changes to the site using Freeway Pro, but am not sure how I can incorporate my manual changes. How do I go about this or must I go through checking every comma, typo and url from the original Freeway Pro project I have here locally.
If its not possible, how canI ensure an up to date copy exists when I change minor text details away from home or at a clients computer for instance?

Thanks

Francis

The original FW document will need you to make remake those changes within it and reupload. One way I get round this is to manage the content. You can use various method i.e. WebYep etc. There’s plenty of threads on content management on the list.

If you search on Google there are a lot of programs to compare html against each other (html diff - Google Search).

But I think it is better to copy the text into your Freeway document and next time use Freeway to make the changes.

Saves you a lot of time and errors.

Thanks, thats basically what I thought. What would be nice is to have some kind of Text editor integration I know BBEdit is highly AppleScriptable (Thats a nice German style word  just have to see how scriptable Freeway Pro is and maybe I can come up with something that works. In the meantime, I’ll just have to remember to make changes regularly and from home, then I won’t end up with the rather tedious task of checking.

Thanks

But what Nathan (BigG) said is also a good option. Use WepYep (very simple CMS like system that can be embedded in Freeway) and you can make changes in text and images from anywhere.
