PPS I thought I might have resolved this problem. I was thinking about your comments about backing up and resampling … . For the past seven years with my cathedral photography I have kept large files of original jpegs. Never caused any problems. For Ripon this file was about 1 GB. So maybe Freeway was linking to this? So I deleted the file and emptied the Trash, and then resampled and resaved. Acute disappointment!! No change in the size of the Freeway file …
