Dan Jasker was the one for me. A couple of years ago he put together a very nice set of screencasts and one of those covered the inline-box layout now used preferably for responsive design. At that time there was no such thing as responsive design or breakpoints, but here lies the basis. This was still in Freeway Pro 5 … so inline box layout ain’t that new in Freeway. Only a few people cared at that time.
I hold on to these (and a lot more) screencasts series Dan published, and if you wish I could supply you with this particular series; ‘Hybrid Box Model Layouts’.
When you get this, responsive design is just a few steps away. You just have to get used to using flexible measurements, and -if necessary- breakpoints.
