[Pro] Link To File Open In New Window/Tab?

Is there a way to make the Link To File action open the linked file (in this case a video, in others a .PDF) in a new window/tab on the browser?

Or, can anyone give me direction on using the hyperlink dialogue to correctly point to the right external file? I originally thought this was the right option for me since it offers the target “_blank” which prompts the new window/tab, but I’m not sure which protocol to use to make the server find the right file. I was hoping that by having the external files all bundled in the Site Folder, this would accomplish that, but it appears I am wrong or missing a step.

Any advice appreciated.

Is using Spawn New Window a possibility for this? It doesn’t have to be a new tab - I think I’d be OK with a pop up for the video links. However, I would still need to know the right protocol to use in the Hyperlink edit window (ftp:/, html:/, none, etc…).

Thoughts?
