[Pro] Load Image

Is there an action or a way of clicking a button and it loads an external image into a placeholder? Excuse my lack of knowledge but I’m very much a novice when it comes to web design and freeway…

Can you expand a bit on what exactly you would like to achieve.

I would like to have an image load onto the page when a button is clicked. kind of a gallery with some thumbnails so images load into a certain area of the page. Click a button and an image loads, click another and another image loads in its place etc so the page won’t have to load everything at the start.

Hope this makes sense!!

Rollover with Target show/Hide Image or Layer

Rollover action on the trigger element and Target show/Hide on the item you wish to appear.

It doesn’t (I don’t think) utilise Lazy Loading techniques but should do what you want.

Thanks David, I will give that a go. Does this load the images from an external source or are they on the page when it loads up?

Thanks for the heads up with the Target Show/Hide Image, works a treat. Still got some work to do but it’s coming along.

Tried using the smooth scroll action but it seemed to conflict with Background Supersizer, something I’ve come across a before with this action. It conflicted with ScriptyFader too.

Background Supersizer uses jQuery, and that won’t mix well with anything that uses Prototype, unless it is specifically written to do so.
