I’m looking to add a few more pages to my site… Mostly, under People I’d like to have a page of “Portraits” which are more staged shots (when I use a backdrop) and under Nature I’d like to add a page of my reef tank. Anyway… I’ve been tossing around ideas in my head but I don’t like the way they come out.
I tried making in the css navigation list another indented bullet under each of those respective items, people and nature, with the new pages under them, but my current design doesn’t really support the menu getting any wider. An easier way but I would think would reduce the traffic to those pages is to just have links to them on the people and nature pages themselves and they wouldn’t be in the navigation…
Difficult- because honestly nobody can really advise. This is just because we all know nothing about your claims and goals. So any remote approach is more a question of personal preferences and would start like:
“I’d recommend to …”
All I can do is to recommend ( to review your entire strategy. You still consider, that a webpage has dimensions (or a canvas) - which ends up in constraints - such as growing content. This is simply wrong.
Add content (text) - tell the people out there who you are.
Write a nice, clean outline (sounds like a business plan).
Try to think about an index which enables you to add kinda boxes or columns to wrap your content.
There are tons of more “well (meant)” things - but as I said:
Thanks again for your help… I agree, there I am okay, but within those pages where I have the navigation on the side is where I run into the problem. I literally did exactly what you drew up and for the main page I agree that works but the other pages I run into issues. Unless I make the background of the list a solid that will go over the slideshow?
