I would like to set up a list so that each member of the list downloads a word file from the server. Is this possible with either Menu List or CSS menus. If not, how is it done without doing them all separately?

There is an action ‘Link to File’ that will do this for you and it can be inserted into a CSS Menu.

I am afraid that every one will be different as each has its own file to download so the actions will have to configured individually.

Any particular reason that you are linking to Word docs
