[Pro] meta plus

Hello,
I am using the most current meta plus action, but when I check the source in Safari after publishing & saving, all the fields are correct except description (shows ‘description’) and keywords (: ‘keyword1, keyword2’, …).

I like this feature as I found previously that if one re-applies the master page it will wipe that data out (when saved in the default meta data menu option).

You thoughts are welcome (for now I will just keep a backup txt file of them), thanks for your time.

Hello again,

I am revisiting this issue as I am working on another site and have found this to be true still, in any browser.

OK, no big deal, I’ll just put the description under the page menu meta tags description, except now I have a description>“description” at the top of the meta tags (source view), and the other description>“filled detail” at the bottom of the tags. As the client is looking for as much indexing as possible, will this confuse or deter SEO at all?

Thanks in advance!

Frank H.

P.S. - keywords are ‘sticking’ in place, now; not being lost to the default ‘keywords’.

Hi Frank,

I have had this issue too. I’ve found that adding the Action to the master page seems to cause the problem. I now avoid adding it to the master and instead add the action to each individual page. This has solved the problem for me.

Sly.

Thank you Sly,

The Action was added to the home page, and since has been reapplied as that page was deleted. The second time (new page) descriptions did not want to stick either…

Oh well…

Frank
