[Pro] mind freeze on how to do..

Hi guys, trying to do something real simple- just forgot.

I want my students to click a link and have a calculator pop up as a Smaller screen OvEr what they are working on.

I have the calculator already on another one of pages (as iframe so it is interactive) already so linking to it is not the problem.

I tried Spawn new window and what happened is, it did open up on top and it was smaller, but when the student clicked behind it to continue looking at their math problems, they could no longer see the calculator window even though it was still open.

I am thinking now I need the cal window to open up in a NEW tab smaller and on top, this way they student can use it and flip back to their work but still have the calculator accessible.

make sense?

Thanks,

Barry

i think the best I am going to get is having it open in a new tab (will not be smaller or on top) and then they can flip between the tabs.

What happens on a ipad though?
testing now.

well the ipad test has shown me that it will simply open up in another tab so that is good.

the problem is the calculator itself does not work on ipads.

it is flash…

time for new solution…

I don’t have Flash installed here either, so what does the calculator calculate? I made a simple arithmetic calculator just for fun in JavaScript and CSS: Calculator

You may be able to do something similar if the calculations aren’t too extreme.

That is clean and simple.
The best i found so far that is a little more complex… Exponents… Etc is a web2.0 calc
Above.
It seems to work on all so far except my android phone.
Here it is. See above…
