[Pro] Moo Accordion not collapsing

I’m trying the Moo Accordion action to create an FAQ, and I’m following Dan Jasker’s video to the letter. Problem is, nothing collapses. In fact, the questions and answers simply appear as if no action was attached at all.

I’m using version 1.1 p3 - bug fix 2.

Also, for some strange reason, the code for my CSS drop-down menu at the top actually appears in the view on the working Freeway page. It doesn’t seem to impact what happens when I click “preview” or go into an actual browser to see. However, the actual code doesn’t appear on any other page on which the CSS menu is set through the same master I’m using on this FAQ page.

Does the Moo Accordion somehow conflict with the CSS menu? I don’t see any change when I remove it.

Any suggestions?

Never mind. I just tried out the Scripty Accordion action and although it doesn’t allow for as much fancy stuff, it works great and in about five minutes I can do what I need to do. It’s perfect for FAQ stuff.

I’ll give Moo’s Accordion another try some other time, but it requires a WHOLE lot of fiddling to make things work. At least for me.

(Also, when I used the Scripty Accordion, the problem with the CSS drop-down menu vanishes.)

Remember that Scripty and Moo use different (and conflicting) Javascript libraries.

The Scripty action uses the same core as all the FW bundled actions so you wont get conflicts.

As a rule of thumb don’t use Moo and Scripty/FW FX type actions on the same page.

But here’s the thing, David. I didn’t have any Scripty on the page. All I had was the Moo Accordion. So unless you’re talking about a conflict between the CSS menu action and Moo, then I’m not sure what could’ve thrown it. (The CSS menu action – that came with FWPro 5, no? I don’t recall downloading it, but perhaps I did.)
