[Pro] Moo Slimbox IE9

I have several websites using Moo Slimbox action to create a photo image gallery. IE9 won’t display the lightbox image unless you turn on “Compatibility Mode”. Any fix for this?

Thanks!

The version of MooTools in those Actions is quite old, and was written long before IE9 was a thing. It’s probably noticing that the browser identifies itself as IE, and applying a patch to a bug that is no longer there in IE 9 or 10. Have you tried contacting Weaver to see if there’s a way to update the Action to use the latest MooTools? Alternatively, have you tried any of the Scriptaculous-based Actions to replace Slimbox? Those are working with IE 9 and 10, last I checked.

Thank you very much for the info! This was my first stop, so your suggestions are much appreciated and Weaver has now been emailed.

Can you give me a link or point me in the right direction for the Scriptaculous-based actions?

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

ScriptyLightbox and ScriptyLightbox2 are at http://actionsforge.com – despite the similarity of name, they each do a different thing. SL2 is designed to work with iPad and iPhone, and it does not put up a screen-covering overlay. You might also like the Showcase application/Action bundle that’s part of Freeway Pro 5.5 and up. Even though it is written with jQuery, it’s coded in such a way that you can use it alongside Prototype.js (which is built into the Scripty Actions and all the Softpress FX Actions) without conflict.
