I have a site that uses the PHP Feedback form and all is working fine, however just looked at the Root of the site and discovered, i have multiple version of the FeedbackForm-go.php file which the action creates, Is this normal? The actual active form is linked to the most recent of the -go.php files so the form is working OK, it is just from a maintenance perspective it doesn’t look right to have all these out of date files hanging about.
You should have one per form. They will be named uniquely, as [page_file_name]-go.php. If you see form-go.php and form-goa.php and form-gob.php, that’s a bug, and you should entirely empty your local Site Folder (on your Mac) and publish once to get everything back to normal.

This is what i am seeing, so
When you say entirely empty my Site Folder, is this the folder that has a name Site name.freeway_? if it is then at the moment it has three items inside it the feedbackform-go.php, site-mapper.html and sitemap.xml
Hi John,
I found that if the Action is applied to an inflow item it can produce multiple -go.php files rather than reuse the old file as you describe. The latest version of the Action (2.4.4 - http://actionsforge.com/actions/view/160-php-feedback-form) doesn’t exactly fix this as much as prevent you from applying the Action in these instances. If the Action is applied to an inflow item then remove it and apply it again to a static parent item or the page itself.
If the Action isn’t set on an inflow item and you are still seeing multiple -go.php files then please contact me (see below) ideally with a copy of your freeway site and I’ll see what the issue could be.
Regards,
Tim.

If all you see is one instance of [page-file-name]-go.php PER FORM in your Site Folder (which is the folder on your Mac where Freeway saves the local working copy of the site each time it publishes) then you are fine, there’s nothing to change, this is how it is supposed to work.
The Site Folder is chosen in the File / Document Setup dialog, in the Output pane in the middle of the dialog. There’s a button labeled Site Folder, and if you look above it, there is a truncated path to the folder listed. Hover your mouse over that path, and you’ll see the entire root-relative path. You can change to a new folder, which has the same effect as emptying the folder manually using the Finder. The Site Name.freeway_ folder is not the folder you are looking for. That’s a temp folder where Actions that generate files do their magic. You should not disrupt this folder or do anything to its contents.

I apologise for the lateness of my response but i have been unable to get access to this forum for the last 24 hours or so, i keep getting No Data Sent Errors from the server when i try to sign into the Forum.
The current status of my issue is that i have performed your suggested edits as per the Site Folder and all seems fine at the moment, also Tim Plumb has been in touch and asked that I send a copy of my freeway folder to him which i have done
So thanks to you both for your assistance, i will let you know how this develops
OK, this problem has re-occurred?, i carried out Walters suggestion of clearing out the Site folder and then republishing, but it would be good to find out why this is happening?
This issue of multiple versions of the php file are reoccurring…again. What should be in my Site Folder? is it a full representation of my site or does it only contain those pages recently amended?
I have noticed that the site folder now only contains a small number of files and they seem to represent those pages i have recently updated.!!!
The problem of multiple go.php files is caused by having the PHP Feedback Form action applied to both the Page and the Item containing the form.
Eliminate all of duplicate instances (I suggest deleting the action applied to the item) and resubmit; this should clear out the multiple go.php files. If not, manually empty the Site Folder and reupload.
I can confirm that the PHP Feedback action is only applied to a table and not the page, and i have manually cleared the site folder already on two separate occasions.
I had the same problem and this is what fixed it flawlessly on several web sites. It did take some close examination to find all the instances. Could you possibly have a form layered and hidden? Also have you tried reversing the setting and have them action on the page instead?
To test the fix why not quickly create a new file. Add a form with the action on a blank page. Publish and view the Site Folder. Then add the action to the page and republish.
Have you tried this with the Action applied to the page, rather than to the table? As long as you have only one form on the page, it should work identically that way, and I believe Tim said in an earlier post on this thread that you should try that to work around the issue with multiple -go files being generated.

hello,
I can confirm that there are no hidden or layered forms on the subject page.
After moving the Action to the Page from the Table, my issue appeared to have been fixed, however sometime later the problem reappeared. After a brief discussion with Tim Plumb i raised a support request with Softpress.
After some summary discussions they advised i create and Archive for the site then start to work from that Archive that i had created.
