[Pro] My logo looks very bad

Hi,
I know that there are other threads about this issues, but I haven’t been able to get my problem solved :frowning:
I have a logo in jpg (I don’t have the Illustrator file) the JPG file looks very good, but when I import it to my page, it looks like s… i have tried to set it to png - million and so on, but nothing works. I do not understand why the file it selves look very good, but when imported it changes totally??? how come?
I hope that one of you will be able to explain this for me. I don’t have that much experience so will need a very good explanation

I really hope to get some help, before i tear my hair of

Brgds, Berit

After clicking the other image-options did you refresh the image in Freeway to apply the new settings?

Does it look bad when looking in Freeway itself or does it also look bad in your browser?

Hi Kryten,
Thanks I will do that - right away.

DTP2 it looks bad both in Freeway and in my browser, I have refreshed after making the new settings.

Out of curiosity, is it a very large bitmap image that has been made smaller in Freeway? If so you would be better off making the image the right size in Photoshop or similar and then importing it into Freeway, or as Kryten says, make it using a vector based application such as Illustrator so it scales without degrading.

Hi Joe,
It is a 400kb file, so not that big, haven’t tried to scale it down before using it in Freeway I will for sure try that as well, thanks.

Sorry, by large I meant in dimensions. That sounds like it’s the problem if you’re scaling it down in Freeway, if you do this in Photoshop you get all the features for making the image sharper while removing pixels from it.

Sorry, thought you meant size  but yes it is quite big and I am scaling it down in freeway, I will do it in photoshop instead and hope that helps, thank you so much.

Hi Berit; have you tried double-clicking the picture in Freeway and then choosing the ‘Resample’ button?

I think what Paul is saying is that double-clicking the image brings up the Item/Modify dialog, which includes the Resample button as one of its controls.
