[Pro] new code issuu doesnt work ??

Hello. Issuu, the place you can upload your pfds for free, has changed the way you get the code. The say the new is wonderfull, but it doesnt work with freeway… I always get the embed code from issuu, in freeway insert a HTML Markup item and paste the code in it. Please, let me paste the three kinds of code I have now, and, please, check out if I should do in another way to make it works…

1st code I was using, and works properly:

2nd one, the new one (the wonderfull one) that doesnt work:

3rd one. This is the option issuu says “do you prefer the old one”, but this is not like the old one…

Thanks from now.

Just to avoid let this question unresolved… I was trying this codes some days after, and it was the same, but, suddenly, the second one worked. Dont know why or how, but it worked properly and at this moment it is still ok. Perhaps issuu has resolved some problem? Thanks for listening

Hi I’m having the same problem now - It looks like they’ve changed things again on issue and there’s not even the option to use the ‘old code’ any more.

I’ve checked the code and it works elsewhere - just can’t get it to work with Freeway any more.

If anyone can shed some light on it I’d be grateful.

Thanks in advance.

Grrr!! I think Issuu is toying with us!

It all of a sudden seems to work without me having done a thing different.

Thanks anyway!

If you were testing it locally, and then it started working when you viewed it from your server, then the reason why is because they offered you a protocol-less URL to the script. Those categorically do not work from a local context, unless the file is actually present on your machine (unlikely) at the expanded URL.

By using a URL that begins with //, rather than a URL that begins with a protocol like http: or https:, the browser fills in the local context before requesting the script file. They do this because they don’t want you to end up with a broken page because of secure + non-secure context mismatches. But on your local machine, the URL would expand to file://e.issuu.com/embed.js and I’m willing to bet you a million dollars that file is not present on your Mac.

This is very annoying due to no ability to adjust the placement of the document. Only way to see it is to upload it first.
