… if you go to the sightseeing page the three shots at the bottom are on white, this is because they are off the “page” are, is there anything I can do about this or do I just make the page big enough to accommodate them, it makes me wonder why we just don’t make the page really big to allow for this sort of thing, I can’t get my head around it ! Also the Cathedral shot - top right - is on a mid blue background but all the other shots seem to be behaving correctly, I’ve tried resizing and fitting to box and things to no avail.
And another question, should I add a “Home” button so people can find their way back to the home page or will they work out that you just have to click the lion’s head.
Not sure about the pic problem but I definitely think that you should have some navigation common to all pages.Certainly a good initial impact.
One other thing to consider might be that the home page does not fit in a laptop’s viewing window and you have to scroll to see all content/navigation - might be worth considering reducing the size of the lions head and header to avoid this.
I assume that you will be adding more content - contact details etc - but quite a nice wee site.
Thanks David, yes the navigation certainly needs addressing and I agree it all seems a bit BIG. I uploaded it so the client and his friends and family can tear it to bits before I’ve spent too much time refining details that will be discarded or altered. Thanks for taking the time and for the encouraging comments. Roger
Yes Robert that is how I did it, hence the question, yes several others on that and other pages have the problem, I’ll try and have a ‘deeper’ look at the issue today (was a bit tired yesterday) … thanks for having a look Roger
Sorry I haven’t replied Bob - no there’s no combining going on, I solved it by making the jpgs pngs - don’t know whether that was the right thing to do but that’s what I’ve done ! Roger
