As usual an excellent quality of work.

I do prefer the static nature of the mobile site - the desktop version is deffo far too in your face for me - but I struggle with the contrast of the ‘Your search for…’ text over the image.

Also not quite sure what is going on in this style declaration

h1.callout {
color: #374339;
font-family: 'Oxygen', sans-serif;
font-size: 24px;
text-align: center;
font-weight: 300;
em: 1;
}

em:1 ???

And I think I would have some font fallbacks in there too.

We’re spoiled to have a designer like you Justin. Beautiful.

I agree that the slider is far too !important (yeah, CSS joke). But if your client wouldn’t budge, you can’t do much.

Good catch. Those type of typographical errors happen to me all the time. :slight_smile:

One thing I’ve learned with design is if you show a client three options they’ll pick the one you like the least, almost every time. :slight_smile:

More often than I would have thought, clients are attracted to the edgy
examples in your portfolio but lean conservative on their own projects.
It’s frustrating, and I always make up for it when they come back later for
the redesign.

One little very personal thing:

The wow-slider appearance (effect) is one of those things why I prefer the unobtrusive movements on web projects. Watching this on a 27" monitor it seems like being slated by thousands of small chunks.

Cheers

When I worked at an agency, one of the things I used to teach my team was to “pin the needle” in a creative presentation. Do something so crazy, and show it early in the presentation, so that the customer’s “meter” was re-calibrated by the assault. Everything thereafter would seem tame by comparison.
