[Pro] New Version - HELP!!!!

Hi there;
Just cranked up the new version and made daily changes to my website.

I notice instead of the drop-down menus going horizontally across the page, they are in a non-working moosh on the left side of the page.

This is how they should look: www.xanadulasvegas.com

This is it now uploaded to a spare site:
www.westerconversation.com/xanadu/index.html

Help! - I’m a newbie - please dumb down reply.

Thanks a million!
Alan

That’s very strange, can you send your Freeway file into Support on
support(a)softpress.com please.

Regards,

Joe

My menus did something similar only not quite the same when I updated FW Pro. I fixed it by simply adjusting the widths of the menus in the Actions pallet. Somehow they got messed up in the upgrade.

Don’t know if your problem is the same but that is what worked for me.

I had some weird effects after the upgrade: all arrows in CSS menu multiply themselves with 10 or so after making changes o the page. By fiddling around I got it straightend out. But it is a weid effect…

I’ve just had that on a few, but not all pages in the site.

Cannot really work it out.

Best wishes Peter

Hey thanks for all your suggestions. I’ve fiddled with it for three days to no avail. I’ve decided to chuck the update, re-download an older version and go with that. I guess, because I saved the job with the wacky update, the menus were off, but I was at least able to adjust it somewhat.

Funny, but they will not go back to “10”, I have it at 9.99 and you can tell it’s a tad off, but 10 or above it all goes to hell. Go figure.

No more updates for me.

If you run a full width black graphic bar behind the menu, nobody will
notice it’s a tad off - but I know what you mean about trying to get
menus to an exact length - with the CSS Menu Action (update or not)
it’s a far from exact science!

Hi Vegasite,

I just replied to the support ticket, sorry for the delay but I’ve
been away for a few days.

The item containing the menus in your Freeway file was only 203px wide
which is why the menus were appearing on top of each other. Make the
width of the menus as wide as the page to fix the problem.

I hope this helps.
