32-bit app compatibility with macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 and later - Apple Support Explains Apple’s POV on this.
From what’s been posted here about the next version of Freeway, it is under development but no date has been given as to its release. I’m sure Softpress will tell us when they are confident that they will be able to release it at that date.
Meanwhile, the simple answer is, do not upgrade nor update your operating system unless you are sure that 32-bit apps will work. Apple has not said which versions of macOS will “break” 32-bit apps such as Freeway 7 and earlier, nor have they said when those versions will be released. It could be the next major upgrade (probably macOS 10.14), it could be sooner, it could be later. I doubt that 10.13.5 (if there will be such a thing) or any future release of 10.13 will break 32-bit apps, but it will be worth checking before doing that update.
