Hi!
I’m newbie in the sense I’ve been using FreewayPro since 5.5 (now version 6, but not too much. I’m NOT technical, so whoever replies me (hope someone will) speak to me like bending it in neon, thanks:
Q1:
I like to make a picture change (fixed location) change between 6 different images and when you click on an image it goes to a link - each picture a new link. Further to this I like to have 6 small squares next to to see if you are on pic 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 - how to do? Is there and action and will it work on a mobile / tablet platform too.
You could do this with the Carousel 2 Action, but it’s not going to be simple to set up. You may be able to use Tim Plumb’s sidecar Action to make the markers change, I can’t find a link to that Action online, but I’m sure he’ll pop in and let us know where that lives. Other users here have said very nice things about WowSlider, which further has nice responsive (small screen) support.
Q2:
In one tutorial video from FreewayPro it is advices to keep the CSS button active while building your webdesign - now all is build I find it is not. Can I juust go ahead and make the button active on each page or do I need to rebuild each page (see www.bomancreative.com).
The CSS button uses the “factory” design pattern. Anything you create while it is on will be made as a CSS “layer” (absolutely positioned element). Clicking it on has no effect on anything you’ve already made, though. In order to change things that you have already drawn, you simply click on each one in turn and check the Layer checkbox on the Inspector.
Q3:
My settings are set to HTML4 - can I just change the setting to HTML5 now or do I need to rebuild the whole site again?
Yes. You will need to change this on each Master Page, and then possibly again on each page (if this setting has become detached from its master). Watch the pages to see if they each get a bullet next to them after you change the Master, and then double-check that each page has its Output tab settings showing HTML5.
Hope someone can help me - thanks a lot.
Best…
Claus
Hope you enjoy Freeway!
