[Pro] Newbie with shopping cart/paypal buttons

Hi All:
Intimidation has set in…website is ALL done but for the Paypal buttons! What do I do with their paragraph of code to make a button? I’m barely tech savvy so go easy! This is my first ever shopping cart–4 items and they all fit on one button in a drop done list. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use the FW shop actions

or if you have the PP code then Insert>Markup Item

This will open a dialogue box into which you paste the PP code and click OK

This then places a 100px square on your page which you can resize and position to suit.

If you can post a link to your page we can probably suggest more options.

Are you using Mal’s to process the orders or going straight to PP?

Delta Dave: You mention “Shop actions”…where do I find these? I looked on Action forge but didn’t see anything. I did the PP code as you said and it worked, thanks!I’m going to go straight with Paypal, I think. We’ll see what today brings.

FW has a built-in set of FW shop actions which are outlined in the FW reference guide.

I am setting up PayPal accts and using the Add to Cart buttons that come with FW. Is there a way to have Paypal figure out the shipping and tax for each item, since shipping CA is different than NY, or am I stuck setting up the shipping and tax per item thru the FW button?

Mals can certainly do this - dont know about PP

So you could use the FW shop actions via a Mals account
