[Pro] newscycle

NewsCycle uses the Prototype library, sourced from Google’s Ajax cloud library. You will need to add the HTTPS CDN Helper Action to the same page, and that will rewrite the HTML that the NewsCycle Action writes into the page so that it will work with an HTTPS hosted site.

By the way, this answer assumes that your site is already set up to use HTTPS. Nothing, as far as I know, can be done from the .htaccess file level to fix the problem that is introduced by using non-secure assets (like the Prototype library when requested under HTTP) within an already secure page. The CDN Helper Action rewrites the page so that requests to the content delivery network are specified to use HTTPS.

Hi

I’m using newscycle to display a new photo every 5 seconds on my webpage. It works well on an unsecured site i.e. http.

However, it doesn’t work on a secure site i.e. https

The webhosting person said that I need to change something in the .htaccessfile so that it runs on https

I’m running OSX10.13.6 with Freeway Pro 7.1.3

Any help would be appreciated as I can’t find the .htaccessfile and know nothing about http or https.

It would be great if I could just update this file. Is it possible?
