MailChimp is incredibly generous with the free messages. I have also used Constant Contact, but they charge for everything.

My limited experience with MailChimp has been very positive. A beautifully executed UI.

Oh yeah, i like mail chimp, but i dont like how it says " mail chimp " on bottom and you can only go up to 2,000 subscribers(if i have more than that, oh my!)

You can have any number of subscribers, but you can only have so many per mailing and only so many for free. MailChimp are very careful about their reputation (and by extension, yours) and do not want to have you marked down as a spammer.

Yeah, I send about 1 newsletter a month. How many people can you have subscribed on Direct mail? Can you embed it into a freeway site?

Cakemail is worth a look: https://www.cakemail.com
Like Mailchimp, it’s free for up to 2,000 subscribers (although the web
site doesn’t make this very clear).
