[Pro] Nivo slider

Is this simple to install on a Freeway site? http://nivo.dev7studios.com/

Any body have any experience or guidance they can share?

best wishes

Thanks David - it looks pretty similar. I will take a look at it. And no doubt will be back asking for further advice!

I have been looking at Wowslider. Able to put it directly on my site adding the generated head code via HTML Markup and the body code via Insert Markup Item and placing the the Data and JQuery and other stuff in a folder on the server. I assume this is how I should have done it and it works fine - see here wowslider2

However there is an option to upload the whole lot direct to the server from the Wowslider application. This I did and brought it back into an iFrame on a page. And I get an unwanted background which can be cropped bottom and right but not top and left. See http://www.richard-lowther.com/wowslider.html . Anyone know why an iFrame does this?

(Apart from curiosity as to why this should be I am interested in this last method as a client could upload new images to a slider or change the transitions direct from the application if they had the ftp codes and voila! they would be on the site)

Have you tried changing the test generated by WOWSlider.com page to the same background colour as www.richard-lowther.com/wowslider.html

The size of the wow-slider container at 463 x 160 doesn’t match the iframe which is 460 x 160 but there is also the styling on the iframe of border: 2px inset; (the top one of the 2)

Thanks David - that was the answer. You will gather I am still at an early stage of understanding code. Changing it to ‘transparent’ or ‘non’ also worked which is good as I have a faded background.

A further advantage of using an iFrame means I can still use Protaculous actions. I think. They seem to work so far anyway.

Best wishes Richard
