[Pro] Not publishing

While trying to publish I experience an error message which says there is a problem with a file that could be damaged. There is a code: -26201:528:149

The only thing I think that it has something to do with some EPS files I imported. But they error message does not show always and its gone when I stop Freeway and start Freeway again.

There are several EPS images on my site, and how can I pinpoint the damaged one? If I produce PNG files (same drawings from Eazydraw) the results are not as sharp as the EPS ones. And that is why I chose to use EPS.

Can EaziDraw create an .AI compatible file - assuming these are vectors

You also might want to look at what output settings you have chosen for your png files

Does that mean you think the EPS file is to blame? These are the formats in which Eazydraw can export:
Vector- PDF, EPS, SVG, DXF
Bitmap- TIFF, JPEG
Web- PNG, GIF
Windows- BMP, ICO
App Graphics
DXF
Keynote
FAVICON
Thing is, I tried PNG but when imported in Freeway, it does not look that sharp as the original or the EPS. When I try gif and want to import this in Freeway, I receive an error saying the gif is corrupt. Drawings use transparency, so a JPEG is not suitable.
The now used EPS files are automatically handled as jpeg’s by Freeway, when previewed it results in not sharp images. In the inspector I changed this for PNG, these settings work fine and the drawings look like the original. This all would have worked fine for my, if Freeway did not give me these errors when publishing.

Does that mean you think the EPS file is to blame

Could be - have you tried opening them in any other app like PS

Obviously if you have transparency then you are limited with your file type - can we see these images online.

Are they layered EPS files

I opened them in the Finder, with Apple’s preview. I do not own Photoshop that’s why.

Yes they are online. On my site http://www.appadvies.nl. They are the colored ‘islands’ on my indexpage and separate on my footer, in the middle.
They are not layared. I drew the lines and filled them with colors. Then I exported them. Eazydraw then let you choose ‘no background’. It’s an easy way to create an image and never made a drawing in Eazydraw using layers. Though it is possible with easydraw. Do you suggest I schould try that?

Those images are exactly the sort that should be output as gif because they only use 2 colours and require sharp edges.

I don’t see any need for Png or Eps

I understand, but strange thing is that the Gif’s I made weren’t exepted by Freeway: trying to import resulted in a message saying the graphic image I am trying to import has a wrong structure.

Thanks for your help so far with this strange problem!

You can open your Png image in Preview and Save As a gif

It might be EazyDraw that has the problem with its output.

I just did it here and the file was 25% of the size of the png

Dave, I can’t manage to get the same result. How did you do that?

Just as I described - I downloaded the image from your site as a png, opened in Preview and saved as a gif.

You can right click the image on my example page and get it there.

Thanks. I changed the images to PNG’s. Softpress aqknowledges that there can be a problem with certain EPS files when Freeway is installed on Snow Leopard. I can not upgrade my MacBook because its too old for Lion.
